Oh Mandy...I am so sad to hear it has grown a lot
So...What has the oncologist said....which way is forward for your mum or has he not discussed options at present?
Have hope...try not to get yourself too down hearted, I know its easy to say than do...but by you being positive, you would be giving confidence to your mum as she has a long battle to get ready for and she will need every bit of support on this roller coaster journey...
I hope you can come back with some positive news on how they are going to treat this awful cancer for your mum...
I will be praying for you and your mum in the meantime...hoping you are able to update us soon...
Sending hugs your way...God Bless....Koik _________________ Husband diagnosed with stage 1V NSCLC Febuary 2007.....Lost his battle August 27th 2008 but lives on in my heart. |

thanks guys
months ago they told mum it was months but wouldnt say how many (this was 7th march) due to bad kidneys she was actually diagnosed i think july last year i remember really well as she wouldnt hold my newborn at the time through fear of not seeing him grow up she was told they could offer chemo and radiation when the time comes to make things a little more easier for her
her cancer nurse is pleased with how she is healthwise other than the cough
i guess we just play the waiting game now
she looks well
but ive not given up i been searching the net for options and have given her a pile of things to take to her doc
why is this disease so dam horrid
i dont want to walk this long road ahead
sorry feeling really down with it |

Hi Mandy
We all know what you mean...We are all walking or have done so already. It is heart-breaking ..first the shock of knowing our loved ones have got the disease and then watching it take our loved ones away.. We suffer from the beginning with them, then through it and then live with it afterwards.
I am glad you are not giving up...We never know what may happen from one day to the next but we must keep hope...Did you know, I still believe in miracles and have not given up even though my husband is so close to death he is hanging on a shoe string...?
I feel if he has breath and God has not took him yet then there is some time to find the answer! What it is I may never find out but we must hope!
God Bless, do keep us updated and I shall be praying for you...

was talking to mum yesterday and have persuaded her to let me go see her cancer nurse
i have printed off lots of trials and other treatments ect and will get answers as to why none have been offered
mum said cancer has grown a lot and is attatching itself to other parts of her body which is why they couldnt do cryosurgery
im gonna allso find out all i can as to what type of cancer ect
mums finding it hard walking over to my house now (literally 5 min walk) and is finding herself out of breath, guess thats the next stage coming sooner than i want, i want to know what to expect and when
there are so many options of treatment out there so why is no one pulling their fingers out and doing something to help
she was allso told she cannot have radiothereapy yet as you can only have it once so they want to wait until things get bad
i hate this i really do
i can type forever but whats the point it wont make her better |

Hi Mandy;
I posted earlier, with no response, is there any possibility that your mom's cough could be caused by blood clots in the lungs, as it was in my case. It cleared up quickly on blood thinners. The docs didn't figure it out until late. This is just a thought.
God Bless
