I have a decent sized mole on my forearm (1/2 inch by 1/4 inch oval), and I'm also a regular outdoor runner.

What I have been doing lately is wearing my watch way up my arm, over the mole to avoid sun exposure. Do you think this actually does anything? I did think of a potential problem; I read that feet/toes are particularly prone to melanoma during the summer months because of the intense open-toe-shoe exposure that follows nine months of very protective shade. Is it possible that by making my mole accustomed to no sunlight that when I do expose it, that my chances of melanoma will drastically increase?

jdtl, I would think that it would hurt. However, rather than covering it with your watch, you should first have a doctor take a look at it.
