I wanted to touch base with everyone~

A year ago my dad was diagnosed with primary liver cancer and given 2 months to live. He wasn't a candidate for chemotherapy or any treatment, and Nexavar is out of our reach financially. But thanks to the many prayers of our family and friends, and my Dad's strong will to live, he is still with us. His quality of life has gone down a bit--he can't drive, he can't go out for too long of a time (a few hours at best), he has a lot of pain but he is under hospice care with wonderful nurses. I thank God everyday and cherish the extra time that I have with him. Every morning I get up and make him his coffee and waffles, get his daily paper and kiss his thin cheek as I go to work. I love my papi so much and the serenity and peace I see on his face daily is an inspiration. 12 months ago he heard his terminal diagnosis and faced it, only saying whatever time God gives him, he will take.

Thanks for listening...take care and God bless

I am so happy that your dad has been able to have that extra time with you all and that you are all taking advantage of it, spend as much time as you can with him, I am sure you will treasure all the time you have been given.

I keep you and your dad in my prayers....

It is great to hear that your father is a fighter and has survived way longer than expect Smile. Enjoy each new day as a gift and an opportunity to be with your father.

You and your father continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
