My Wife is 24 years old and recently went for a routine smear test. Unfortunately they could not carry out the test due to the cervix being too low. This was tried on two different occasions and nothing could be done.

She also had a pregnancy test at this time and was confirmed as not pregnant. On top of this she never has regular periods.

We have an appointment with a consultant soon but we are both very worried about the outcome. Any advice / experiences would be very much worth hearing.

Thanks.

DGS, it sounds like your wife has some type of Pelvic Prolapse... not a too rare of an occurrence. It could be a prolapse of the Vaginal Wall, Cervics, or the Uterus. Will repairing the damage often does require major surgery, hopefully, it is not caused by cancer.

Keep us informed. You and your wife are in my thoughts and prayers.

DGS,
I'm sorry to hear about your concerns. It does sound as if a prolaps etc, like Jim has said- but if not then at least you guys have been looking ito getting it looked at.

Be there for her- but also talk to her about how you feel. It's good for us to know whats going in your heads, as much as you us.

Good luck- please let us know how things go.
Thinking of you- Inica.
