After cycle of chemotherapy my sisters NSCLC IV has shrunk. She has been told that she will not have any more treatment and has to go back in a month for another scan.

Her treatment is supposed to be palliative. She is having infusions every month for high calcium levels. She doesn't seem to ask the oncologist any questions. Her prognosis at diagnosis was maximum 1 year without treatment, with treatment who knows.

I know it has mestasised to her adrenal glands and lymph nodes, but not sure what this means. since having the chemotherapy and steroids she does seem to have put on a bit of weight. She has a worringly swollen stomach, but doesn't mention it to the doctor.

I guess I will just have to wait until her next round of tests etc.

Anyone know what to expect next?????
