I am 18 years old and my 42 year old mother was recently diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma. They have yet to determine what type of NHL that she has. We have also been made aware that the NHL is a secondary cancer. The doctors she is seeing believe that her primary cancer is ovarian. I don't know which cancer to be more concerned about. My mom will likely undergo a full hysterectomy if it turns out to be ovarian cancer.

Almost a week ago my mom went for a biopsy for her NHL, but the wound has been leaking lymph fluid since then and severely restricting her freedom as she can not bend over very far or leave the house for much other than to have her dressings re-packed.

Doctors believe the leaking may be due to active cancer cells at the site of the incision.

I am wondering if there is anything i can do to put my mothers mind at ease. I live with my father and she tells me that nights are the worst because her mind wanders. I try to stay over as much as possible, but it is hard, as I work at 8 am through the week.

The emotional pain that she is going through and it is ripping me to shreds. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
