My grand mom has diabetics and the doctor found she has lung cancer, stage 4. currently she is taking Iressa but she gets really weak day by day. Before she starts to take Iressa she could still walk around and eat normally but now, after starting for 2 weeks, she even has trouble leave the bed or sit up for few minutes. Is this normal?

Catty,

Without knowing what is going on and how well (or not) your grandmother is doing, it is impossible to know whether this is a side-effect of the medication, or if this is caused by the disease itself. Please let her oncologist know about this.

best regards,
Leo
