I saw a show on PBS showing how scorpions (I think) can fight against GBM. Does anybody know anything about this? Is it still on the trials or what? Any help would be greatly appreciated . . .

There are clinical trials evaluating it for GBM. Take a look:

Phase II Scorpion Venom Trial Opens
Six sites are currently participating in the phase II clinical trial of an anti-cancer radiopharmaceutical drug containing chlorotoxin - a synthetic version of a substance derived from scorpion venom. The trial, sponsored by TransMolecular Inc, is being offered to patients with recurrent high grade glioma who are candidates for surgery. In this protocol, the tumor is removed, then the drug is administered through catheters placed into the cavity left by the surgery. To learn more, visit the manufacturer?s web site at http://www.transmolecular.com/clinicaltrials.htm.

regards,
Leo
