Hi, I'm doing a research paper for my 8th grade English class. We were told to pick a topic that has affected us. I chose how technology has kept ovarian cancer patients alive or helped them live more comfortably. If you have had experience with this or could give me a helpful website, I would appreciate it a lot.
Smile Thank You.

Hi yes I know about ovarian cancer, as I have it. I had surgery the other day to check my uterus to see if it has spread there, it was called a hysteroctomy. which is a D&C, simply know as a curette becasue of thicked endometrial wall. Ovarian cancer you normally have your ovaries removed and sometimes if it has spread they remove all your organs like uterine, ovaries, cervix, felopian tubes, but you ucan never have kids with a full hystorecomy. stage one is normally confined to the organ and just required surgery, stage 2 means it is starting to spread and treatmetn is a hystorecomy and maybe chemo, stage 3 has metasised to other parts of the body like bladder, kidneys, cervix ect and that requres chemo radiaation therapy and a full hystorecomy and stage 4 is the most deadliest one. That si when it has metasised to the brain, liver lungs etc, treatment full hystrecomy, chemo and radiotherapy and HRT if a hystorecomy is done Hormone Therapy is given after a hystorcomy, and Taxol is a chemo drug used for ovarian cancer. if you need any other information leat me know

Aubrey:

I can't post links, so try this:
The Americn cancer Society website, ovarian cancer topic:
google "acs ovarian cancer"

The Mayo clinic ovarian cancer page:
google "mayo ovarian cancer"

National institute of Healh ovarian cancer site:
google "nih ovarian cancer"

All three are reputable sources that your teacher should accept. Good luck!
Aloha,
RH
