Hi,

I'm from Singapore. Below is an article from a local magazine. I hope it will lift the spirits for a lot of people. It did for me. My mum is battling her third cancer in 20 years now.

==============================================
You don't expect a two-time cancr patient to be this cherry.
Ten minutes into this lunchtime interview and Mdm Jariah is already laughing heartily.
The warm up question was what was for lunch. The answer: Organic fare, a diet Mdm Jariah adopted in 2004, in a bid to fight cancer. Since then, meals for the 83-year-old only involves organic fruits and vegetable, filterd water and various supplements.
"Eh, eh, rinduuuuu," she closed her eyes and crooned the Malay word for "miss", when asked if she still had craving for typical Malay food. "I miss kueh and sambal the most!" she announced with excitement. And then, for the third time, she launches into a hearty chuckle - mouth wide open, eyes reduced to a slit.
It's hard not to feel happy, watching this merry makcik. And it's even harder to believe that this very happy elderly had beaten not one, but two cancers not too long ago.
Mdm Jariah's first major illness was womb cancer in 2003, at age 78. "Doctor told me it was 50-50. I was very sad, I lost my appetite because I don't know if I could make it." Thankfully she surived after a hysterectomy.
Then, in early 2004, Mdm Jariah experienced a three-month coughing episode. "I coughed up a lot of white phlegm and everywhere I went, I had to bring a plastic bag with me."
"It was stage four lung cancer," said Mr Juraimi, Mdm Jariah's son. "But we didn't want to tell her how severe it was then." Mr Juraimi, a lifestyle coach then put his mother on an organic diet.
"It's easy to change my mon - she's an ex police woman, so she's used to following instructions," he says, to his mother's hearty chuckle. Fortunately, Mdm Jariah's new diet worked. And with her cheerful disposition, she survived not one, but two cancers. On how she managed to keep her spirits up during her battle with cancer, Madam Jariah says" "I try not to think so much or be so sad lah. Sometimes, I'll just turn on the radio and if the songs are nice, I stand up and dance>"
And, she laughs again.

Hi, the article is not about my mum. But my mum is a SUPERWOMAN as well. She was diagnosed with her 3rd cancer this year, at her lungs. Just started undergoing chemotherapy after the pills failed. It's her 3rd cancer in 20 years.
