Oh Zeak, I am so sorry. Are you able to stay with him much?

Hugs and prayers.

I'm so sorry Zeak. Yes, talk to him; he will still be able to hear you just can't respond.

Know that he probably won'r be in much, if any, pain, with the morphine. I know when you see him struggling to breathe, you think that, but the hospice nurses told me my mom was comfortable even though I couldn't believe it.

Hang in there. Sending a hug (((((zeak)))))

Oh Zeak,

I too am sorry to hear how quickly he has declined. I'm glad he's in a facility near you and being taken care of by professionals. The breathing is so very difficult to watch. Tera's right, the morphine will keep him from getting too anxious over the breathing issue.

Touch him, love him, and talk to him.

Hugs and prayers from me too. I hate lung cancer. Crying or Very sad

Hey everyone. Thanks for all the great support and advice. Dad passed last Wed afternoon, about 20 min after we saw him. He did get to see us and a couple of his friends before he passed.

We weren't close at all, but I'm glad I was able to step up and take care of his needs. Even though he didn't say it, I'm sure he appreciated it. I must say, I'm very relieved that he's in a better place (god will decide where that is) and I don't have to worry about him now.

Take care and thanks again.
