It seems like there is a new research study being conducted by Johns Hopkins University with psilocybin that is recruiting volunteers with a current or past diagnosis of cancer.
I wonder if psychedelic experiences can help with pain. Does anybody know?

I am not sure if the research on psilocybin is due to it psychedelic properties or it potential chemotherapeutic value. Certainly there might be some cancer medications that, if taken incorrectly, could cause a psychedelic experience but other than pain meds, I cannot think of any.

I would think some antidepressants would be in that category... I know I've read that hallucinations are sometimes experienced by some people (even those who aren't abusing them).
