My da is 78 years old and was dx 3 years ago. He was getting thalidamide and dex. he had good results but then came out of remission. We tried again and had good results but shorter lasting. he now gets velcade and has ben having a very difficult time. Hid MM is mostly in his spine and the pain is intense. he has a duragesic patch and takes tramadol, oxycodone, vicadin on a daily basis and has a lot of breakthough pain.

I am more concerned now because he is four weks past pnemonia and is having a lot of shortness of breath. I am not sure if it is residue from pnemonia, caused by the velcade or is the MM spreading. His Dr has just announced she is leaving next month and we need to find another dr. I don't want to start over....

Any ideas? Question
