Why are you embarrassed to tell your doctor? They have seen it all and nothing, but nothing, will faze them. I doubt if anyone can diagnose your case via the net from your description. Are you sure you can't talk to your mother? If you are worried you really need to get an appointment with your GP. Most lumps are fatty deposits or minor cysts, and at your age with rampant hormonal change these are the most likely cause.

Good news! When I was 14 I had the same thing! It's a common medical condition called gyconemestia. It is caused by the flood of hormones in the body during puberty, and about 60% of all kids get this condition. It's very common to happen on just one side, but there's a chance it will develop on both. If it continues to grow, or if it is lopsided and uneven, tell your parents and get it checked.

I don't think it'd be cancer. Like previously stated it's probably hormones. But don't underestimate cancer. It very well be the start to something else. You need to get it checked out. Even if it's a hormonal illness it can be taken care of very early.

Doctor's have been prepared and have seen a lot, I'm sure telling your doctor won't be embarrassing. After all it is their job to even hear the weirdest/grossest symptoms possible.

You should learn to become comfortable in explaining problems to your doctor now because one day it could save your life. I had a friend who refused to tell her doctor that she had pains in her side. Next thing you know she had cervical cancer.
