My Dad has just been diagnosed with secondary liver, lung, and pancreatic cancer, along with a tad in his intestines. Can someone offer a time frame for me.

I am just heartbroken. I am gonna lose my Daddy. Crying or Very sad

I'm so sorry for your Dad.

Noone can give you an exact timeframe. Every case is different. There are people who were given less than 3 months to live and carried on for years. So, don't give up and keep the chin up.

My Mom passed away 9 months after been diagnosed with lung cancer (stage IV) and secondary liver and bones cancer.

My deepest thoughts,

Mandy

Hi,
I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I lost my dad in Oct. 2005. He battled liver cancer for ten months before passing. Everyone is different so it's really hard to give a time frame.....my dad opted for no treatment so we don't know how much longer he may have had with tx. Maybe a bit longer, maybe not. Take care & God bless.

My Dad passed away last Friday (October 27, 2006). I am writing simply to let you all know how quick it was. I am simply heartbroken, but then, I suppose you all know the feeling.

God bless you all.

I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. My dad was first told about the liver cancer in August 2006. and, he passed away on October 28th. Unfortunately, liver cancer is less common and the treatment is not promissing. It is also difficult to tell the life expectancy. It could be a year, a month or even days. Please try to spend as much time as you can with him. Tell him how much you love him. and ask him what you need to. Because, when I took my dad to the emergency as any other day, Not knowing that it is the last time he would take a step with me.
When I was told about the cancer, I visited this forum. I found it very important. but, I couldn't accept the fact I was to loose my dad.
I am glad I found this site and spent a lot more time with him.
