Hello I am new here.

I noticed around April a funny looking lesion on my skin. Its red and brown, well, when you press on it the red goes away and it looks kinda like a freckle underneath. It has a kinda big hair that grows out of the center of it. It measures about 5mm. You can feel it if you rub your finger over it. I had a Skin Doctor examine it in November and he said it didn't look very alarming and said to do a follow up in a few months so he could look at it again and measure it again. Ive noticed since April or so the lesion has stayed about the same size, it is always completly covered by the head of a pencil. It just worries me especially since I have a friend who recently had melanoma removed from his arm. Should I wait until my follow up or maybe just go get it removed asap?

Hi, Snake-

I think it comes down to what you feel.....If you are worried sick about it- get it removed to be sure. Alot of undiagnosed thibgs are found by our own worry and gut feelings.

It wont hurt to have removed and tested, so if you are thinking about it day and night. Just get it done for piece of mind.

I too think you should go to a doctor ASAP
