I have had a brown spot under my eye for the past year or two but have become more concerned because it appears over the past week or two that the color around it has also become darkened and was wondering if this looked like melanoma and if I should be concerned. I am planning on seeing the dr. next week but was hoping that someone could give me some thoughts today.

Greatly appreciate the input!

Hi bhays1, I am very sorry about your current health concerns. You are taking the right steps by going to a doctor with only a doctor looking at this lesion can say for sure what it is. I hope that you find out that it is benign.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I would have it biopsied because that's really the only way you can tell for sure. I had melanoma in my eyebrow and even the dermatologist had no idea it was before he biopsied it.
