I had a hysteroscopy and D&C..
(uterine wall thickness and suspicious growth thought to be a polyp)
Had procedure, it was not a polyp but what he believed was an adenomyoma (focal) He did do several biopsies.
He assured me all would be ok, but that he would call as soon as he got the results.

Do you think if he thinks it will be ok..they know right away? Just by looking?
Have you ever been told Don't worry...only for it to be cancer?
I just want to stay positive, but cannot help to be a tad anxious..((sigh))
Bot my maternal grandmother and my moms only sister have had uterine and ovarian cancer.

Thanks for replys..
Kel

Kel, I am very sorry about your current health concerns. Sometimes doctors are good at telling if something is cancer or not. Unfortunately, you will not know for sure until you get the pathology report. I think that the major point in the "don't worry" said by your doctor is that worry will not help anything. Personally, I know that it is impossible to not worry to some degree. Saying "don't worry" is just about as effective as saying "just say no."

Just be assured that you are in good company of others who have faced the same waiting for news.

Thanks...
The thing is I am pretty confident that all will be well..
I think I am just a control freak....and right now I have no control...and I am making myself anxious...
I just want it in black and white...**YESTERDAY** : ) That I am in the clear.

Thanks for your response..It helps just to put the feelings out there!
