Hello! Smile
I am a Stage 2, 46-year old Multiple Myeloma patient. Four years ago, I had never even heard of MM, but thank the Lord, I am currently in remission. I must warn everyone, I am pretty much computer illeriate, so bear with me. I have been reading the posts, and I hope to get to know all of you better.
Thanks!

Hi Mattie-

I am new here, my father just had surgery over the weekend after finding a tumor embedded in his spine; causing him to start loosing sensation in his legs, bladder control, and numbness from his mid section down. I write this as I sit next to him in the hospital as he recovers. His spine was decompressed from the tumor and he is making a fast recovery from surgery.

We have a friend in the Pathology staff who examined the sample and concluded that it was either Multiple Myeloma or Plasma Sytoma; but most likely MM.

I am just now starting to research what this is and really, where it came from. This has taken our family by surprise and we struggle to understand and accept this illness.

I want to wish you the best on your recovery, and anything that you'd like to share will be greatly appreciated.

Best wishes-
Andy

Mattie, I moved your post but left a "shadow" of it in its original forum. I think you will receive more replies and better replies here to in its original location.
