Hello everyone,
Ive got recent concerns over basal cell carcinoma, on my right arm and right hip.
I have noticed these strange nodes/lumps for a while now, and have not seen them alter in size, until the otherday, as the weather has been really nice recently.
In the past i went to see my GP about them and he said theres nothing to worry about, but you never know??
They have changed in size and clusters, and im starting to worry, ive tried researching online, and found alot of useful information that has helped me conclude what these abnormalities are. But would like some more help, as I maybe be over reacting!??
i have already planed to go to my GP
Thanks again

Hi Naka, I am sorry for your health concerns. No one can diagnose you over the Internet. If you do not trust your GP the next logical person for you to see is a dermatologist. If it looks at all suspicious, your dermatologist will do a biopsy.

Totally agree with Brainman- would only be a major mistake to see and guess.
Got to your GP- or another one. Then ask to get a referal to see a skin specialist- or Dermotologist. They will know more about skin and be able to lead you in the right direction. _________________ Thinking of you Inica

I can tell you from personal experience, that a good dermatologist can tell just by looking at something whether or not there's cause for concern.
About 4 years ago, I had these "things" on my back that multiplied. I finally went to a good dermatologist and he said "nothing to worry about these ... these are called keratoses and you'll get more of them." After he checked my back (where's the keratoses are), I turned around to face him and he said "what's that on your right shoulder." He then said "I'll bet you a dollar that it's BC." Turns out he was right, and I had a fairly good sized patch excised.
Yesterday, I went for my annual skin check (the keratoses on my back again plus a few other oddities I wanted checked out). The same dermatologist said you look fine except I see an abnormal mole on your back that I don't like. He biopsied it yesterday - wont know for a few days what the results are but he did say that he did not think it was anything to worry about and was simply being cautious.
The morale of this story: go see a good dermatologist and put your mind to rest. If you should have BC, it's easily taken care of.
