i am only 4 weeks post op and gradually am recovering but experiencing the problem of constant bowels movements, not actually diarrhea but constant soft bowel movements. i am read the postings about diarrhea post op and assume that this is fairly common but am not very happy to see that it appears to be a permanent state of affairs---is there ANYTHING that can help? my resection was quite low---within a cm. (according to my surgeon) of where he would have had to do a colostomy instead of a resection----any suggestions you have would be welcome.

Hi,

Your post is like Pat's (post op' problem).

I gave the little "tips" my husband had (and has) to do to recover.
He was in the same case (very low resection, < 1 cm)

Kind regards
