Would anyone have an idea what 2 small (smaller than a pea) size bumps could be on my upper left arm just below the shoulder area. They feel like bites but have been there for over a month. I did go to a dermatologist who was not concerned. I am getting a bit more concerned since they have not gone away. Anybody with knowledge on this would be GREATLY appreciated!

There are various things that can produce small fatty lumps under the skin which are non-malignant. If a dermatologist did not think them a problem, then they are probably benign. You can always seek a second opinion if you are not happy.

Did the dermatologist tell you what he/she thought they might be?

Not really. He felt them and looked at my arm under a magnifying type lense with a light. There is nothing to look at - you can only feel them. I have also read that people who lift weights can get them. Have you ever heard of that?

It does sound as if the specialist thought they are ok. Many people have fatty lumps under the skin. Some can be muscle bunches, Fatty deposits that have harden.

If you are really concern get another opinion or have it removed and tested
