Hello, all. This is my first post. My mother has been anemia for appox 6 months. The dr ordered an upper GI to find the bleeding. It was found in a tumor in stomach. A Partial Gastrectomy was performed the following day to remove the tumor and over 50% of the stomach. The surgeron stated the cancer had spread to her liver and his best guess was she has 6 months. She has been very sick since the surgery, so we are yet to have the CT or PET Scan done to get a better idea for the sitution. My main question does 6 months sound reasonable since it is in the liver. Her primary doctor suggested twice that we call Hospice, but I wanted to wait until after the scans were done. The oncologist stated that she may have up to a year with chemo, without any further complications. My mother is 84 and has COPD and high blood pressure. She also suffered pulmonary embolism this week and has developed artial fib since the surgery. I am hoping that she gets to go home for the hospital at least for a while. She has had a very good life and survived both colon and breast cancer in the past. At this point, I want her to be as comfortable as possilbe as God calls her home. Thanks for listening!

Apricot seeds and b17 saved my fathers life. Dx in January with stage 4 stomach cancer to the liver,my dad was not given much hope. Five months later after 1 bag of apricot seeds and 2 bottles of b17 my dad is cancer free. The doctors are stunned, they dont know what to say. The stomach and liver are totally clean. He did have 5 treatments of chemo each 3 weeks apart but I dont credit the chemo at all. Even his kidney doctor is amazed. He told my dad that his kidney function is the best its ever been in the 13 years that he has had diabetes.

fly11396, I have read your post many times and just do not know what to say. My heart breaks for you. I was my mother's primary care provider during the last months of her life. Hospice was a great help to us. I encourage you to call them and see what they have to offer. It could make a great difference in the quality of life your mother has.

I know that it is hard not to reach out to the "apricot seeds and b17" options. There are some anecdotal stories of how effective they are.... but there is no scientific proof.

Your mother's prognosis is made worse by all the other health issues she is dealing with: COPD, pulmonary embolism, A-fib..... Sad.

You said that you "want her to be as comfortable as possilbe as God calls her home." Hospice can help you with that.

You and your mother are in my thoughts and prayers.
