Going for follow up colonoscopy this afternoon! I am keeping my fingers crossed that they find nothing this time because I am not sure I can do this again. The prep is absolutely barbaric! I haven't eaten anything since Monday (well broth and jello) and the last few glasses of the nulytely never made it through my system as they came right back up. There has got to be a better way!! Anyway, I understand the necessity as I did have adenomas, but I can't understand losing two whole days for a 60 minute test. I only have to do this every three years, so I have so much sympathy for those of you who have to have them more often! Always one to look for the positive... I lost 7 lbs in one day!! Wish me luck folks!!

Good luck Sharon!

You are so right - that prep is just brutal!!!

I did movie prep - heard it's better than go-lightly - but YUK anyway.
There are supposed to be pills you can take too - I wonder if anyone here has tried them?

I do hope you have good news!

Cheers

Yep, the prep is definitely the worst part, well that and waiting for the results. I snoozed though the whole procedure.

Definitely good news. I was under the impression that they only took out 5 or 6 the last time and when he said there were 12, but the 5 or 6 we spoke of were the ones he was concerned with, I was a little taken aback. Guess I don't remember as I was so out of it after! I am actually glad I didn't, as I probably would have worried more over the years! The meds they used this time were awesome as well. I woke up and instantly felt like me again...no hangover! I'll get biopsy report next week, but he said he really is not concerned with these ones, so neither am I!!
