hello leo. thank you for your answets to my previous questions....
i am wondering how many tests in a short period of time could be
dangerous....

since september 14th i have had a cat scan, a pet scan, a needlebiopsy
while having a catscan, and thursday i am scheduled for two needlebiopsys during yet another catscan...........given the more or less
normal amount of radiation one acquires over a lifetime---dental, mammograms, assorted broken bones, various illnesses requiring
x-ray......when is it too much?

maybe i am just nervous about the results of tests to come and looking for a way out, but i would be grateful for your kind response.

thank you.....

Hello,

It is extremely difficult to get problems with radiation from diagnostic tests only. As you are telling me, you are well within the tolerated range, and this should not be a problem at all.

The problems are usually associated when you need continuous radiation for procedures, like coronary angiograms, when you need to have real-time vision using fluoroscopy. See this link http://www.fda.gov/cdrh/rsnaii.html

So don't worry for now Smile
