Hi, I'm new and a little embarrassed but I have so many questions. I have had many abnormal paps but they have always resolved themselves until this year. My doctor did a colposcopy on Aug. 4 and he called me with the results on August 12: HGSIL CIN 2. I will see a women's health specialist on August 20 for consultation for a LEEP.

I am a bit worried even thoug I know this is a good thing to catch this early but my bigger concern is the achy sesation in my cervix. I had a heavy discharge after the Colp. and started my period early 7 days after with very uncomfortable cramping. Period seems to be over but I am still spotting and have this dull ache. Today my husband asked about sex but I don't know if it is just fear or what but I don't think it is a good idea. I feel like I should rethink it since I have heard you have to wait a month after the LEEP is done. I really enjoy sex and my husband is very supportive but I feel scared. Has anyone else experienced this and should I call my doctor? Confused

If your Dr has said it's ok. before the leep- then do as YOU wish. Your Husband loves you dearly and wishes to show you. If it hurts or your uncomfortable then say no- he will (hopefuly) understand.

The ache and cramping can be normal after a colposcopy. BUT you should let your Dr know. They told me anywhere till 4 weeks i could have spotting etc. though not unusual for someone to have it for 8- but it shouldn't be heavy at all. More a brown spotting. like begining of a period.

Let me know how you go. Here for you Inica

Hope it did- sometimes there is not much help or advice to give- they just have to do what makes them feel right.

Just make sure after the 6 weeks after the leep- then make sure you are ready, relaxed and enjoy- don't even think about doing it if you are up tight or worried about it.

Make it special, dinner, wine, a little spoiling.... We all need that every now and then.

Good Luck with the leep- let us know how you go.
