Hi all.

My sister made my wedding on 1st August. We had a beautiful wedding and then a party the day after. She felt the cold and didn't join us in the wine and dancing, but was good to have her with us.

She stayed with us an extra day and looked so much better. However, this weekend I visited her and she had a hugely bloated stomach and her legs and feet were so swollen.

She is going to mention it to her oncologist on Monday. She had an infusion to bring her calcium levels down this week and has one more cycle of chemotherapy to go.

Is the bloatedness normal?

Dear Sam

It was wonderful to read your update. Congratulations on your wedding & congratulations to your Sis for her efforts too.
I'm sorry I know little about LC & have no idea about the latest symptoms yr Sis has. No doubt someone more familiar will be along soon to help you with yr questions?
It is a relief that yr Sis will be seeing her Onc tomorrow.
Thinking of you,
Cheers, Angie.

I am very happy for you and your sister that she was able to be at your wedding. It sounds like it was a wonderful time for all of you.

I am sad to hear that her condition has worsened. I am not sure what is causing the bloating. Maybe someone else will have a better idea.

You and your sister are still in my thoughts and prayers.

Congratulations on you nuptial.

HI Sam - rather late but I am so pleased your sister made it to your wedding. Best wishes for your future.

I suspect the calcium imbalance may be contributing to the swelling and bloating, and do hope the medics can sort it for her.

Sam, glad your sister made it to your wedding.

My mom wasn't up to chemo so I'm afraid I can't help you there. A friend of mine's mom did take chemo though and I remember her feet being alarmingly swollen, 2-3 times thier normal size. I don't know if it was the chemo or not.

Hi Sam!

I'm so glad to hear that your sister made it to your wedding. What wonderful memories you will have! Congrats to you and your new hubby!

I hope that the oncologist visit on Monday provided her with answers as to why her stomach and legs were bloating and that it was caused by something of no real concern.

Please update when you can.

Thinking of you and your sis --

Cathy

Hi Sam,
First of all, congratulations on your marriage! Smile

Secondly, I am sooo glad that your sister made it to your wedding. Smile My dad made it to my oldest niece's wedding this past June. There were many times we were not sure if he was going to go or not. Bot only did he attend the wedding, he stayed for much of the reception.
