I have just finished 4 of 4 A/C chemo treatments for Stage IIB breast cancer and am soon going to start 4 sessions of Taxotere. I have had awful sinus isssues since starting A/C. Anyone with experience out there with Taxotere and sinus problems? Hopefully it is only related to the A/C. Also I have tried so many anti-nausea drugs and still feel like I have a burning sensation in the pit of stomach.

Hello

Any drug that suppresses the immune system can make you more prone to having respiratory infections, such as sinus infections. I don't know if that's what you're dealing with, but it would be one of the most common reasons for you to be having sinus pain.

best regards,
Leo

I am on taxotere after a first disastrous go with gemcitabine and carboplatin for grade 3B adenocarcinoma in my right lung, with malignant pleural effusion. Drained of 6 liters since December.
I find the taxocetere a breeze, am well medicated against the side effects and the tumour has shrunk after one apllication.
My doctor - blessedly a woman - is set to give me 6 applications of taxotere before trying out an experimental tablet which tackles the cancer cells differently.
Good luck with your treatment.
Am being "turned around" from a life expectancy of 6 months to going on one year to two.
Can't be bad!
