I'm praying for you. Make sure you find a doctor who is really concerned about you as a person and not just lookimg at you as a business. Also be sure to look at alternatives to chemo if that is what you are faced with, because I believe that chemo sometimes does more harm than good. Find a cancer society near you because they are very helpful for information and emotional support and your husband will also benefit, because they will be a voice he can talk to when he too has difficult times. It's going to be hard for you and your family members but continue to love and support one another because it may not be them that this has happened to but it affects them just as much.

Dearest Geronimo,

I was touch by your honest show of feelings. You have a large challenge to face and , fright, anixety , frustration and anger make sense. Sac was right find a support group for you and your family. Remember that love lasts all day and night long, count on it for support. Make sure you are trusting of your team or get another opinion, THAT IS A MUST! You need to believe in them if not, remember they are working for you. If you need a couple of book suggestions you can write me back. I have been a therapist for a long time, and help both the Drs. here online. I am here for you. Ask your Dr. if you can have a small dose of something like Xanax to take the level of anxiety down a notch. Perhap he may be willing depending on your particular situation. Write anytime you get scared.

Best Regards,

Pat

I was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in my rectum at the age of 40. I was told taht my condition was common in people in thier 70's. I had a 13 year old daughter and fiance at the time they began treatment. I m now 50 years old. It has been 10 years. I remember the fear and anxiety throughout this ordeal and still "go there" when I have my regular check up. I am alive and well and made it through the toughest fight of my life!!! No one ever knows what the future will bring, so think positive and keep your faith.
