I recently was having some abdominal pain in the center of my abdomen as well as slightly elevated liver function tests. My doctor said if it would make me feel better, he'd have a CT scan run. On the CT scan they found a tiny (3mm) lesion on my liver that they couldn't characterize but statistically considered a cyst. The lesion was undoubtedly accidentally found and nothing to do with my pain which has since subsided.

But, how do I know it's not the beginning of a tumor. Are cysts dramatically different in appearance than tumors on a CT scan? The doctor said he didn't see any reason to worry, but should I insist on a follow-up CT and if so how soon? Or are there other tests that would be prudent?

Hello

This is a common liver lesion and is very unlikelly to be cancer. For that reason we usually recommend getting a follow-up CT scan in about 6 months to see if there is growth.

Hi, i am a hapt b carrier.
I am having pain on my right side, should be my liver.
but the pain come and go.

can you tell me more about the pain you had?
