The discovery of how the activities of the protein p53 initiate signals that trigger cell suicide offers critical insights for developing new anti-cancer drugs, according to investigators from St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A report on this work appears in the September 9 issue of Science.

HI leo,

I am especially interested in this news item.

I noticed that a Google for 'p53 Bcl-xL PUMA psk cancer' or
'p53 Bcl-xL PUMA melatonin cancer' both turn up a fair amount of articles.

Most of the promising ones wind up on a page where you have to pay for the article.

Without being sure what some of these articles say (especially the ones I can't get), it looks like they may be explaining how melatonin and psk affect these critical genes and actually work.
