do you get an never ending "lump" in your throat? or "choke" on nothing-even your own saliva-several times a day but not constantly?

what are the tests to detect this? scope? bloodwork?

how is it treated? surgery? chemo? radiation?

thank you

Hello

Esophageal cancer can have few symptoms, but can cause pain with swallowing or even difficulty passing food or liquids. Treatment depends how extensive the disease is.

regards,
Dr. Leo

Usually by having an endoscopy with biopsies. CT scans can show it, but a biopsy is necessary to confirm the diagnosis.
