we just finished radiation 4 weeks ago for bad,bad hip pain and for a tumor on the spine pressing on the cord wich has caused some urine retention this is my 37years old husband with stage 4 nsclc he just started his chemo(carbo and taxol) after being on tarceva for a year its not working anymore. Since he has responded so well in the past with bone pain getting radiation this has not helped at all I pray that the chemo will shrink some but is there some other form of radiation therapy other than standard anyone been thru this,I dont have much confidence in the care we have been getting I have gone over his oncologist in the past to get help

Hi Pjean
I am so sorry reading about your husband in so much pain....It still saddens me knowing how young he is...
I cant say i know much about radiation although my husband did have this for his spine...Unfortunately it didn't help him much!
I want you to know that I am thinking of you and hope that the medical team can control his pain better soon...
