Moms face is getting puffy. Just under her chin area and even her eyelids. Is this normal? She isn't on any kind of treatment yet as we don't know all whats going on.

cinnabon64, it sounds like fluid retention. How do her legs look? Common causes of fluid retention are some sort of heart problem causing low blood flow or kidney problems.

In any case, I would call her doctor as soon as possible to ask about this new development. Keep us informed.

I agree with Jim. You definitely want to rule out congestive heart failure, which can cause fluid retention. CHF can be reversed but if left unchecked, the heart can't carry the load anymore.
