I am 49 and have been having digestive issues for 3 weeks now. I get pain in the center of my abdomen and occasionally on the left side. I feel sick when I eat. I also have GERD and I am scheduled to have a colonoscopy and an endoscopy this Wednedsay. I also have been having pain in my back just directly under my right rib towards the center of my back. My stools are also light in color where they had always been dark. I already had an Ultrasound so they could check my gall bladder. They said it was fine. Would the US have shown any kind of cancer of the pancreas? Does anyone think my symptoms sound like pancreas cancer? What are the best tests to diagnose this pc cancer? If my endo and my colonoscopy come back normal should I ask for other tests to rule out PC? Someone also told me not all gall bladder disease always shows up on US. Anyone ever hear of this? I am just worried sick about all of this and scared to death I could have pc. Can anyone offer me any help please? Thank you and God Bless! My prayers are with all of you that have this disease. Hi there,

My friend's pancreatic cancer was picked up on ultrasound, so this leads me to think that PC is a less likely explanation for your symptoms.

Of course, continue to formally exclude it as a possibility (mention it at your next appointment and they will tell you the best test for it) but don't get yourself too worked up about it.
