Hi All!

Haven't been on here frequently, but I should be more than I am...

I had a radical hysterectomy on Sept. 4. Everything went well. The cancer was just in the cervix, and hadn't spread out at all. I was in the hospital 4 nights, and couldn't wait to go home. I had trouble peeing initially, and they taught me how to self-catheter, but by the time I was ready to go home it had fixed itself up, thank GAWD for that.

The scar has healed up some, but it's still pretty darn ugly... I've had two abdominal surgeries before, and my stomach muscles are quite weak as a result. I have started back at Curves, and hope this will help, I get an aching back quite often!

At any rate, I'll check in again, just wanted to say hello.

Hi Sandi,

Great to hear from you, I'm so thrilled that everything is going great for you. Bet you feel like you made the right decision after all that.

The skin and scar tissue should shrink- Drink plenty of water 3 litres+ if you can a day. Some Bio-oil or some other moisturiser will help the elasticity in your skin to shrink.
