Yes. It is typical - from my first biopsy brown discharge lasted for a little more than 2 weeks. Second biopsy was not that bad. It is that stuff they put in to stop bleeding during biopsy. There is nothing to worry about the brown discharge.

After the biopsy - i learned today that after the biopsy came back as cancer the specialist that i saw had 2 choices - 1. to refer me to the cancer agency or 2. to do a cone biopsy with hopes to be able to get it with that procedure. I had a cone biopsy even though the obgyn knew she could not get it all (she told me that it was beyond the cone before the procedure - yet she did it anyway and told me it was necessary step. The surgeon today at the cancer agency told me she does not know why the obgyn did the cone when she knew she couldn't get it - We put our trust in these professionals not knowing our options and unfortunatley this wasted 2 months of my time for getting treatment -
I write this to let you know to be sure that if they want to do a cone biopsy that they are fairly certain they can get it or otherwise refer you immediatley to the cancer agency. They will do an MRI which will give as much information.

Discharge is quite normal after a Biopsy. Especially brown and sluggish. It normally only lasts from a few days up to 3 weeks max. Though i have heard of some that have lasted alot longer.

It shouldn't be anything to be alarmed of, unless heavy, smelly, dark or freash red blood. But if you are worried, see your Dr.

How is things now?
