Ok- here goes.
This is a Help thread, for all those people needing help- JIM
About anything, and everything under the sun- Just non Cancer- as many other ways to go for that.
So me first. How can i stop my inside dog to stop barking in the midle of the night. ??? Tried talking nicely, calming.....then yelling to shut up- or sit.
Must be something i can't hear- cat or something outside. I have looked out side, nothing. It goes on for a hour or so, same time. No other dog barks (annoying dog nextdoor) so I'm not sure....any way any ideas>? _________________ Thinking of you Inica

Stop eating- see if that helps....
Last night SHE barked a few times. I went crook on her. Then she was fine. no Barking, so i'm asuming it's something outside annoying her.
Does anyone know what would get out stuff (baby vomit) out of the carpet??
I used soapy water to get most of it out, then blotted with tissue. I then used a carpet cleaner. Made it all saopy and sudsey. Then blotted and worked it into the carpet.... now it's a brown circle... (the vomit wasn't brown) So i'm asuming its the cleaner that's discoloured it.....I also used warm water 3 days later to see if it was cleaner build up.... i have no idea. _________________ Thinking of you Inica

I'm going to get a professional in and see how that goes.
Funny how once down there, you see more and more stains. It's that bad I put towels and sheets down everynight.
See? have you forgot about the money already? _________________ Thinking of you Inica

Tips for common problems -
Meatloaf pan a pain to clean? - Put two pieces of bread lining the pan bottom first, and the meat on top. The bread absorbs all the grease, so it's healthier then baking in the fat, as well as makes it easier to clean:
Candle wax on the carpet, use papertowels and and iron, the towels absorb the warmed up wax.
Problems without solutions (thus far!) Teen D-16 & Teen D-18 now step-sister, how do I make the 16 year old realized that the 18 year old has privilages due to her age and maturity....UGGH! pulling my hair out on this one..... _________________ Believe

lol- now that is a problem. I remember the "but why can the boys do it, or why??? can't I- the boys did"
3 brothers. The answer i got- "because." Or when your their age- then you can.
Maybe just say it as you did- They are older, and more mature. *shrug* not sure _________________ Thinking of you Inica

Perhaps try a little rverse psychology - choose someone she knows who is younger than her. Remind her of the things she CAN do that the youger girl can't. Ask her why that is. Get her to come up with the reasons and then apply it to the comparison between her and her older sister.
Remind her that looking forward to something makes it even nicer when you get to eventually do it. Like the excitement when planning a holiday.
Believe me she already knows why she can't do it she, like all of us at that age, she just wants to test the boundaries. Remember when you were a teen.... you didn't really want an explanation you just wanted an argument about whatever it was... at least that's my two cents worth of home spun logic:) _________________ Ex husband's diagnosis was January 2006, stage IV bowel cancer with mets to liver and lungs. I'm sooo looking forward to Hunter being a Teen now lol
At least here in Australia, I'd have to say safest part of the world. Where we live is only 24000, and nice and country still.
Though i did have a group of young teenagers boys walk in yesterday at work- Tight skinny black jeans- back to the 80's it looks like. Though must say better then seeing the underwear. _________________ Thinking of you Inica

Easy answer --
You tell her that at 18 her sister is legally considered an adult in the eyes of the law and at 16 you're not! Naturally you also tell her that certain "Mom and Dad" laws supersede ANY government laws! Now go clean your room. LOL
Good luck on that one. Joys of parenting and all of that.

Ah yes, The joys of parenting. Thanks for all the advice. Summer is coming, the 18year old graduates today, and luckily my Husband is feeling well enough to go and treasure this milestone in her and our lives. I unfortunately have to work and cried this morning when I saw just how big and grown-up she has become, a beautiful intelligent and compassionate woman. Her words of advice to me this morning when I stated crying were "Dont worry Sue, tomorrow I move in (with us to help her Dad and be with him, she chose a local county college over 8 of the Universities she was accepted too, just to be with her Dad), and you'll be sick of me" LOL _________________ Believe
