I am a 46 1/2 yr old with a history of tanning (stupid, I know!!!) for about 2 years and that was about 10 years ago. My husband noticed that I have alot of moles on my back and mentioned that I should see a doc about them to get a baseline. It's not like I see these every day since they are on my back but I was really surprised when I took the time to really look in a mirror. I know I did NOT have this many and the ones I did have were definitely not this big. Both of my daughters agreed with me. Now after internet hopping I'm really scared. I did call the dermatologist and found one that could get me in on this coming Tuesday the 24th......but I am really stressing now. I had my hubby take pictures of my back so that I could see these things up close and I do not like what I see. I would really appreciate it if anyone here would give me their honest opinion on these moles.....I know it doesn't take the place of a doctor, but I am the type of person that would rather know the truth and just deal with it rather than getting blindslided. A couple of them have me worried.

I wasn't sure about posting pics so I hope it's okay (I'm sending an email to brainman also). Thank you to all and all of you that are dealing with this, you have my thoughts and prayers for strength and healing.

Most of the larger ones in the pics are approximately 5-7mm and slightly raised.

I pre-approved the posting of cb3228's links.

cb3228, as I said in my reply to your email, there is no way anyone on this forum or any other site on the Internet can make a diagnosis. You really should go see your own doctor.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

you definitely have a lot of moles but so do a lot of people. Take the 24th appointment. I hope you have nothing to worry about.

I agree with Brainman.

Keep your appointment with the dermatologist.

It's hard, but stay calm. Take it one step at a time. You won't know anything for sure until you get some professional help.

Let us know how things go.
